1 Samuel 12:25

25 However, if you continue to do what is evil, both you and your king will be swept away."[a]

1 Samuel 12:25 Meaning and Commentary

1 Samuel 12:25

But if ye shall still do wickedly
Continue to rebel against God, revolt from him, and depart from his worship, and despise his prophets, and serve idols:

ye shall be consumed, both ye and your king;
their king would be so far from protecting, that he should perish with them, be killed by the sword, as Saul their first king was, or go into captivity, as others of their kings did.

1 Samuel 12:25 In-Context

23 "As for me, I vow that I will not sin against the Lord by ceasing to pray for you. I will teach you the good and right way.
24 Above all, fear the Lord and worship Him faithfully with all your heart, considering the great things He has done for you.
25 However, if you continue to do what is evil, both you and your king will be swept away."
