Mark 2:13 Meaning and Commentary

Mark 2:13

And he went forth again by the sea side
The sea of Galilee, where he had met with, and called Peter and Andrew, James and John; and not far from which were the solitary place, and the desert places, where he was before he entered into Capernaum:

and all the multitude resorted unto him;
who had been with him at Peter's house, and about the door, and those who could not get near him:

and he taught them;
the word of God, the Gospel, and the doctrines of it.

Mark 2:13 In-Context

11 "I tell you: get up, pick up your stretcher, and go home."
12 Immediately he got up, picked up the stretcher, and went out in front of everyone. As a result, they were all astounded and gave glory to God, saying, "We have never seen anything like this!"
13 Then Jesus went out again beside the sea. The whole crowd was coming to Him, and He taught them.
14 Then, moving on, He saw Levi the son of Alphaeus sitting at the tax office, and He said to him, "Follow Me!" So he got up and followed Him.
15 While He was reclining at the table in Levi's house, many tax collectors and sinners were also guests with Jesus and His disciples, because there were many who were following Him.
