2 Chronicles 19:8

Moreover, in Jerusalem did Jehoshaphat set of the Levites, and
of the priests, and of the chief of the fathers of Israel
This was the great court of judicature, consisting of princes, priests, and Levites, of ecclesiastics and political persons; for causes of both sorts were brought thither:

for the judgment of the Lord;
in things sacred, which related to the worship of God, and the support of it:

and for controversies;
of a civil kind between man and man, whether pecuniary or capital, of a more private or public kind:

when they returned to Jerusalem;
that is, this court was set up at Jerusalem, when Jehoshaphat, the priests, Levites, and chief men that went with him, returned thither.

6 對 他 們 說 ： 你 們 辦 事 應 當 謹 慎 ； 因 為 你 們 判 斷 不 是 為 人 ， 乃 是 為 耶 和 華 。 判 斷 的 時 候 ， 他 必 與 你 們 同 在 。

7 現 在 你 們 應 當 敬 畏 耶 和 華 ， 謹 慎 辦 事 ； 因 為 耶 和 華 ─ 我 們 的 　 神 沒 有 不 義 ， 不 偏 待 人 ， 也 不 受 賄 賂 。

9 約 沙 法 囑 咐 他 們 說 ： 你 們 當 敬 畏 耶 和 華 ， 忠 心 誠 實 辦 事 。

10 住 在 各 城 裡 你 們 的 弟 兄 ， 若 有 爭 訟 的 事 來 到 你 們 這 裡 ， 或 為 流 血 ， 或 犯 律 法 、 誡 命 、 律 例 、 典 章 ， 你 們 要 警 戒 他 們 ， 免 得 他 們 得 罪 耶 和 華 ， 以 致 他 的 忿 怒 臨 到 你 們 和 你 們 的 弟 兄 ； 這 樣 行 ， 你 們 就 沒 有 罪 了 。
