Numbers 14:36

And the men which Moses sent to search the land
Ten of them, who returned;
as they all did, who were sent to search it: and made all the congregation to murmur against him;
against, Moses that sent them; they murmured themselves, and made others murmur: by bringing up a slander upon the land;
that it ate up its inhabitants, and that the inhabitants of it were of such a stature, and so gigantic and strong, and dwelt in such walled cities, ( Numbers 13:28 Numbers 13:29 ) , that there was no probability of subduing them, ( Numbers 13:31-33 ) .

34 按 你 們 窺 探 那 地 的 四 十 日 ， 一 年 頂 一 日 ， 你 們 要 擔 當 罪 孽 四 十 年 ， 就 知 道 我 與 你 們 疏 遠 了 ，

35 我 ─ 耶 和 華 說 過 ， 我 總 要 這 樣 待 這 一 切 聚 集 敵 我 的 惡 會 眾 ； 他 們 必 在 這 曠 野 消 滅 ， 在 這 裡 死 亡 。

37 這 些 報 惡 信 的 人 都 遭 瘟 疫 ， 死 在 耶 和 華 面 前 。

38 其 中 惟 有 嫩 的 兒 子 約 書 亞 和 耶 孚 尼 的 兒 子 迦 勒 仍 然 存 活 。
