30 他 們 還 在 路 上 ， 有 風 聲 傳 到 大 衛 那 裡 ， 說 ： 押 沙 龍 將 王 的 眾 子 都 殺 了 ， 沒 有 留 下 一 個 。

2 Samuel 13:30

And it came to pass while they were in the way
On their road homewards, before they got to Jerusalem:

that tidings came to David;
perhaps brought by one who was at the entertainment, who upon seeing Amnon smitten, immediately rose up and fled with the news of it to David:

saying, Absalom hath slain all the king's sons, and there is not one of
them left;
which he might suppose was the design of Absalom, and was done before that time; however, so it was ordered in Providence, that David, that rejoiced at the news of the death of Uriah, might be terrified with the tidings of the death of all his sons; and for a while it was as if it was really so, which occasioned the following behaviour in him.

28 押 沙 龍 吩 咐 僕 人 說 ： 你 們 注 意 ， 看 暗 嫩 飲 酒 暢 快 的 時 候 ， 我 對 你 們 說 殺 暗 嫩 ， 你 們 便 殺 他 ， 不 要 懼 怕 。 這 不 是 我 吩 咐 你 們 的 麼 ？ 你 們 只 管 壯 膽 奮 勇 ！

29 押 沙 龍 的 僕 人 就 照 押 沙 龍 所 吩 咐 的 ， 向 暗 嫩 行 了 。 王 的 眾 子 都 起 來 ， 各 人 騎 上 騾 子 ， 逃 跑 了 。

30 他 們 還 在 路 上 ， 有 風 聲 傳 到 大 衛 那 裡 ， 說 ： 押 沙 龍 將 王 的 眾 子 都 殺 了 ， 沒 有 留 下 一 個 。

31 王 就 起 來 ， 撕 裂 衣 服 ， 躺 在 地 上 。 王 的 臣 僕 也 都 撕 裂 衣 服 ， 站 在 旁 邊 。

32 大 衛 的 長 兄 ， 示 米 亞 的 兒 子 約 拿 達 說 ： 我 主 ， 不 要 以 為 王 的 眾 子 ─ 少 年 人 都 殺 了 ， 只 有 暗 嫩 一 個 人 死 了 。 自 從 暗 嫩 玷 辱 押 沙 龍 妹 子 他 瑪 的 那 日 ， 押 沙 龍 就 定 意 殺 暗 嫩 了 。
