2 Samuel 19:17

And there were a thousand men of Benjamin with him
Of which tribe he was, and these were either a band of soldiers, of which he was the chiliarch; or tenants of his, which showed him to be a great man; or his neighbours, and persons of some figure, whom he prevailed upon to come as intercessors for him:

and Ziba the servant of the house of Saul;
who had imposed upon David, and got his master's inheritance from him, knowing that David would be undeceived by Mephibosheth his master, when he came to Jerusalem; and therefore that he might be more tenderly dealt with, and come off the better, he was thus forward to meet the king, and pay his respects to him:

and his fifteen sons and his twenty servants with him:
which made a considerable appearance; see ( 2 Samuel 9:10 ) ;

and they went over Jordan before the king:
to meet him on the other side, both Shimei and his a thousand men, and Ziba with his sons and servants.

15 王 就 回 來 ， 到 了 約 但 河 。 猶 大 人 來 到 吉 甲 ， 要 去 迎 接 王 ， 請 他 過 約 但 河 。

16 巴 戶 琳 的 便 雅 憫 人 、 基 拉 的 兒 子 示 每 急 忙 與 猶 大 人 一 同 下 去 迎 接 大 衛 王 。

17 跟 從 示 每 的 有 一 千 便 雅 憫 人 ， 還 有 掃 羅 家 的 僕 人 洗 巴 和 他 十 五 個 兒 子 ， 二 十 個 僕 人 ； 他 們 都 逿 過 約 但 河 迎 接 王 。

18 有 擺 渡 船 過 去 ， 渡 王 的 家 眷 ， 任 王 使 用 。 王 要 過 約 但 河 的 時 候 ， 基 拉 的 兒 子 示 每 就 俯 伏 在 王 面 前 ，

19 對 王 說 ： 我 主 我 王 出 耶 路 撒 冷 的 時 候 ， 僕 人 行 悖 逆 的 事 ， 現 在 求 我 主 不 要 因 此 加 罪 與 僕 人 ， 不 要 記 念 ， 也 不 要 放 在 心 上 。
