17 耶 和 華 說 ： 你 末 後 必 有 指 望 ； 你 的 兒 女 必 回 到 自 己 的 境 界 。

Jeremiah 31:17

And there is hope in thine end, saith the Lord
Or, "hope for thy posterity" ^F18; for their children that had been massacred, that these should rise again, and enjoy a blessed immortality, as the next clause seems to explain and confirm it: that thy children shall come again to their own border:
either to the border of the land of Israel, as Joseph, Mary, and Jesus did, ( Matthew 2:21 Matthew 2:22 ) ; or rather to the borders of the tribes of Judah and Benjamin, where this cruel murder was committed; and so the intimation is, that they shall rise again, and stand upon that very spot of ground where their blood was split; and not only so, but enter into and dwell upon the new earth in the Jerusalem state; and also enter into the heavenly Canaan, and dwell with Christ for evermore, on whose account their lives were taken away.

15 耶 和 華 如 此 說 ： 在 拉 瑪 聽 見 號 咷 痛 哭 的 聲 音 ， 是 拉 結 哭 他 兒 女 ， 不 肯 受 安 慰 ， 因 為 他 們 都 不 在 了 。

16 耶 和 華 如 此 說 ： 你 禁 止 聲 音 不 要 哀 哭 ， 禁 止 眼 目 不 要 流 淚 ， 因 你 所 做 之 工 必 有 賞 賜 ； 他 們 必 從 敵 國 歸 回 。 這 是 耶 和 華 說 的 。

17 耶 和 華 說 ： 你 末 後 必 有 指 望 ； 你 的 兒 女 必 回 到 自 己 的 境 界 。

18 我 聽 見 以 法 蓮 為 自 己 悲 歎 說 ： 你 責 罰 我 ， 我 便 受 責 罰 ， 像 不 慣 負 軛 的 牛 犢 一 樣 。 求 你 使 我 回 轉 ， 我 便 回 轉 ， 因 為 你 是 耶 和 華 ─ 我 的 　 神 。

19 我 回 轉 以 後 就 真 正 懊 悔 ； 受 教 以 後 就 拍 腿 歎 息 ； 我 因 擔 當 幼 年 的 凌 辱 就 抱 愧 蒙 羞 。
