25 你 們 不 要 往 田 野 去 ， 也 不 要 行 在 路 上 ， 因 四 圍 有 仇 敵 的 刀 劍 和 驚 嚇 。

Jeremiah 6:25

Go not forth into the field
Either for pleasure, or for business; to take a walk in it for the air, or to till it, plough, sow, or reap; but keep within the city and its walls, there being danger: nor walk by the way;
in the high road from Jerusalem, to any town or village near it: for the sword of the enemy:
or, "because there is a sword for the enemy" ^F2; or, "the enemy has a sword"; and that drawn; the enemy is in the field, and in the ways, and there is no escaping him: and fear is on every side;
all round the city, being encompassed by the Assyrian army: or, the enemy's sword "is fear on every side" ^F3; causes fear in all parts round the city. The Targum is,

``because the sword of the enemy kills those who are gathered round about;''

or on every side.

26 我 民 （ 原 文 是 民 女 ） 哪 ， 應 當 腰 束 麻 布 ， 滾 在 灰 中 。 你 要 悲 傷 ， 如 喪 獨 生 子 痛 痛 哭 號 ， 因 為 滅 命 的 要 忽 然 臨 到 我 們 。

27 我 使 你 在 我 民 中 為 高 臺 （ 或 譯 ： 試 驗 人 的 ） ， 為 保 障 ， 使 你 知 道 試 驗 他 們 的 行 動 。
