Chuàngshìjì 8:1-19

1 Shén jìniàn Nuóyà hé Nuóyà fāngzhōu lǐ de yīqiè zǒushòu shēngchù . shén jiào fēng chuī dì , shuǐshì jiànluò .

2 Yuānyuán hé tiān shǎng de chuānghu dōu bì saì le , tiān shàng de dà yǔ yĕ zhǐ zhù le .

3 Shuǐ cóng dì shàng jiān tuì . guō le yī bǎi wǔ shí tiān , shuǐ jiù jiān xiāo .

4 Qī yuè shí qī rì , fāngzhōu tíng zaì Yàlālàshān shàng .

5 Shuǐ yòu jiān xiāo , dào shí yuè chū yī rì , shāndǐng dōu xiàn chūlai le .

6 Guò le sì shí tiān , Nuóyà kāi le fāngzhōu de chuānghu ,

7 Fàng chū yī zhī wūyē qù . nà wūyē fēi lái fēi qù , zhídào dì shǎng de shuǐ dōu gān le .

8 Tā yòu fàng chū yī zhī gēzi qù , yào kàn kàn shuǐ cóng dì shǎng tuì le méiyǒu .

9 Dàn biàn dì shǎng dōu shì shuǐ , gēzi zhǎo bú zhe luòjiǎo zhī dì , jiù huí dào fāngzhōu Nuóyà nàli , Nuóyà shēnshǒu bǎ gēzi jiē jìn fāngzhōu lái .

10 Tā yòu dĕng le qī tiān , zaì bà gēzi cóng fāngzhōu fàng chū qù .

11 Dào le wǎnshang , gēzi huí dào Tānàli , zuǐlǐ diāo zhe yī gĕ xīn nǐng xià lái de gǎnlǎn yèzi , Nuóyà jiù zhīdào dì shǎng de shuǐ tuì le .

12 Tā yòu dĕng le qī tiān , fàng chū gēzi qù , gēzi jiù bú zaì huí lái le .

13 Dào Nuóyà liù bǎi líng yī suì , zhēngyuè chū yī rì , dì shǎng de shuǐ dōu gān le . Nuóyà chè qù fāngzhōu de gaì guānkàn , biàn jiàn dì miàn shǎng gān le .

14 Dào le èr yuè èr shí qī rì , dì jiù dōu gān le .

15 Shén duì Nuóyà shuō ,

16 Nǐ hé nǐde qīzi , érzi , ér fù dōu kĕyǐ chū fāngzhōu .

17 Zaì nǐ nàli fán yòu xuèròu de huó wù , jiù shì fēiniǎo , shēngchù , hé yīqiè pá zaì dì shǎng de kūnchóng , dōu yào daì chūlai , jiào tā zaì dì shàng duō duō zīshēng , dàdà xīngwàng .

18 Yúshì Nuóyà hé tāde qīzi , érzi , ér fù , dōu chūlai le .

19 Yīqiè zǒushòu , kūnchóng , fēiniǎo , hé dì shǎng suǒyǒude dòngwù , gĕ cóng qíleì , yĕ dōu chū le fāngzhōu .

Chuàngshìjì 8:1-19 Meaning and Commentary

INTRODUCTION TO GENESIS 8

This chapter gives an account of the going off of the waters from the earth, and of the entire deliverance of Noah, and those with him in the ark, from the flood, when all the rest were destroyed: after an one hundred and fifty days a wind is sent over the earth, the fountains of the deep and the windows of heaven are stopped, the waters go off gradually, and the ark rests on Mount Ararat, Ge 8:1-4 two months and thirteen days after that the tops of the mountains were seen, Ge 8:5 and forty days after the appearance of them, Noah sent forth first a raven, and then a dove, and that a second time, to know more of the abatement of the waters, Ge 8:6-12. When Noah had been in the ark ten months and thirteen days, he uncovered it, and the earth was dry, yet not so dry as to be fit for him to go out upon, until near two months after, Ge 8:13,14 when he had an order from God to go out of the ark, with all that were with him, which was accordingly obeyed, Ge 8:15-19 upon which he offered sacrifice by way of thankfulness for his great deliverance, which was accepted by the Lord; who promised him not to curse the earth any more, nor to drown it, but that it should remain, and as long as it did there would be the constant revolutions of the seasons of the year, and of day and night, Ge 8:20-22.
