16 这 是 以 实 玛 利 众 子 的 名 字 ， 照 着 他 们 的 村 庄 、 营 寨 ， 作 了 十 二 族 的 族 长 。

Genesis 25:16

These [are] the sons of Ishmael
The twelve before mentioned, ( Genesis 25:13-15 ) : these [are] their names, by their towns and by their castles;
their towns and their castles being called after their names, some of which we are able to trace at this distance, as the above notes show: twelve princes according to their nations;
these were princes, or heads of tribes, and there were twelve of them, and continued so, see ( Genesis 17:20 ) ; where is the prophecy, and here an accomplishment of it.

18 他 子 孙 的 住 处 在 他 众 弟 兄 东 边 ， 从 哈 腓 拉 直 到 埃 及 前 的 书 珥 ， 正 在 亚 述 的 道 上 。
