1 Chronicles 9:24

In four quarters were the porters
For, according to the Targum on ( 1 Chronicles 9:22 ) there were twenty four wards:

towards the east, west, north, and south;
and, as the same paraphrase has it, six wards to the east, six to the west, six to the north, and six to the south.

22 被 选 守 门 的 人 共 有 二 百 一 十 二 名 。 他 们 在 自 己 的 村 庄 ， 按 着 家 谱 计 算 ， 是 大 卫 和 先 见 撒 母 耳 所 派 当 这 紧 要 职 任 的 。
