24 又 说 ： 我 实 在 告 诉 你 们 ， 没 有 先 知 在 自 己 家 乡 被 人 悦 纳 的 。

And he said, verily I say unto you
Another proverb in use among them, the meaning of which was well known to them, and was very appropriate to the present case:

no prophet is accepted in his own country;

23 耶 稣 对 他 们 说 ： 你 们 必 引 这 俗 语 向 我 说 ： 医 生 ， 你 医 治 自 己 罢 ！ 我 们 听 见 你 在 迦 百 农 所 行 的 事 ， 也 当 行 在 你 自 己 家 乡 里 ；

24 又 说 ： 我 实 在 告 诉 你 们 ， 没 有 先 知 在 自 己 家 乡 被 人 悦 纳 的 。

25 我 对 你 们 说 实 话 ， 当 以 利 亚 的 时 候 ， 天 闭 塞 了 三 年 零 六 个 月 ， 遍 地 有 大 饥 荒 ， 那 时 ， 以 色 列 中 有 许 多 寡 妇 ，

26 以 利 亚 并 没 有 奉 差 往 他 们 一 个 人 那 里 去 ， 只 奉 差 往 西 顿 的 撒 勒 法 一 个 寡 妇 那 里 去 。
