1 瘟 疫 之 後 ， 耶 和 华 晓 谕 摩 西 和 祭 司 亚 伦 的 儿 子 以 利 亚 撒 说 ：

Numbers 26:1

And it came to pass after the plague
Related in the preceding chapter; how long after is not certain, perhaps before the war with Midian, exhorted to in the latter part of the foregoing chapter, and of which an account is given, ( Numbers 31:1-54 ) :

that the Lord spake unto Moses;
out of the tabernacle, or out of the cloud:

and unto Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest;
the Lord had been used to speak to Moses and to Aaron; but now Aaron being dead, and Eleazar his son succeeding him in the priesthood, is joined with Moses, and the order here given is directed to them both:

1 瘟 疫 之 後 ， 耶 和 华 晓 谕 摩 西 和 祭 司 亚 伦 的 儿 子 以 利 亚 撒 说 ：

2 你 们 要 将 以 色 列 全 会 众 ， 按 他 们 的 宗 族 ， 凡 以 色 列 中 从 二 十 岁 以 外 、 能 出 去 打 仗 的 ， 计 算 总 数 。

3 摩 西 和 祭 司 以 利 亚 撒 在 摩 押 平 原 与 耶 利 哥 相 对 的 约 但 河 边 向 以 色 列 人 说 ：

4 将 你 们 中 间 从 二 十 岁 以 外 的 计 算 总 数 ； 是 照 耶 和 华 吩 咐 出 埃 及 地 的 摩 西 和 以 色 列 人 的 话 。

5 以 色 列 的 长 子 是 流 便 。 流 便 的 众 子 ： 属 哈 诺 的 ， 有 哈 诺 族 ； 属 法 路 的 ， 有 法 路 族 ；
