And when Abigail saw David
Whom she either knew personally, or rather supposed who he was by the number of men that followed him:

she hasted, and alighted off the ass;
on which she rode:

and fell before David on her face, and bowed herself to the ground;
in respect to, and reverence of, so great a person as David was.

25 我 主 不 要 理 这 坏 人 拿 八 ， 他 的 性 情 与 他 的 名 相 称 ； 他 名 叫 拿 八 （ 就 是 愚 顽 的 意 思 ） ， 他 为 人 果 然 愚 顽 。 但 我 主 所 打 发 的 仆 人 ， 婢 女 并 没 有 看 见 。
