8 於 是 王 起 来 ， 坐 在 城 门 口 。 众 民 听 说 王 坐 在 城 门 口 ， 就 都 到 王 面 前 。 以 色 列 人 已 经 逃 跑 ， 各 回 各 家 . 去 了 。

2 Samuel 19:8

Than the king arose, and sat in the gate
Of the city, a public place, where the inhabitants met on divers accounts at times, and where there were always people passing and repassing:

and they told unto all the people;
or it was reported to the soldiers particularly:

saying, behold the king doth sit in the gate;
has laid aside his mourning, appears in public, and receives his friends, and attends to business:

and all the people came before the king;
to congratulate him on the victory obtained, to receive his thanks and his favours:

for Israel had fled every man to his tent:
or to his city, as the Targum; that is, those that followed Absalom; which is observed not on account of what goes before, but of what follows after; see ( 2 Samuel 18:17 ) .

6 你 却 爱 那 恨 你 的 人 ， 恨 那 爱 你 的 人 。 你 今 日 明 明 地 不 以 将 帅 、 仆 人 为 念 。 我 今 日 看 明 ， 若 押 沙 龙 活 着 ， 我 们 都 死 亡 ， 你 就 喜 悦 了 。

7 现 在 你 当 出 去 ， 安 慰 你 仆 人 的 心 。 我 指 着 耶 和 华 起 誓 ： 你 若 不 出 去 ， 今 夜 必 无 一 人 与 你 同 在 一 处 ； 这 祸 患 就 比 你 从 幼 年 到 如 今 所 遭 的 更 甚 ！

9 以 色 列 众 支 派 的 人 纷 纷 议 论 说 ： 王 曾 救 我 们 脱 离 仇 敌 的 手 ， 又 救 我 们 脱 离 非 利 士 人 的 手 ， 现 在 他 躲 避 押 沙 龙 逃 走 了 。

10 我 们 膏 押 沙 龙 治 理 我 们 ， 他 已 经 阵 亡 。 现 在 为 甚 麽 不 出 一 言 请 王 回 来 呢 ？
