Deuteronomy 3:1

Then we turned and went up the way to Bashan
Which seems to have been higher than the kingdom of Sihon: this was a fine country for pasturage, for the breeding of cattle, larger and lesser, and was famous for its oaks: it is the same country which in Josephus and others goes by the name of Batanea:

and Og the king of Bashan came out against us;
got his forces together, and came out from Ashteroth, the royal city where he dwelt:

he and all his people, to battle at Edrei;
another city in his kingdom, about six miles from the former; see ( Deuteronomy 1:4 ) ( Numbers 21:33 ) .

1 以 後 ， 我 们 转 回 ， 向 巴 珊 去 。 巴 珊 王 噩 和 他 的 众 民 都 出 来 ， 在 以 得 来 与 我 们 交 战 。

2 耶 和 华 对 我 说 ： 不 要 怕 他 ！ 因 我 已 将 他 和 他 的 众 民 ， 并 他 的 地 ， 都 交 在 你 手 中 ； 你 要 待 他 像 从 前 待 住 希 实 本 的 亚 摩 利 王 西 宏 一 样 。

3 於 是 耶 和 华 ─ 我 们 的 　 神 也 将 巴 珊 王 噩 和 他 的 众 民 都 交 在 我 们 手 中 ； 我 们 杀 了 他 们 ， 没 有 留 下 一 个 。

4 那 时 ， 我 们 夺 了 他 所 有 的 城 ， 共 有 六 十 座 ， 没 有 一 座 城 不 被 我 们 所 夺 。 这 为 亚 珥 歌 伯 的 全 境 ， 就 是 巴 珊 地 噩 王 的 国 。

5 这 些 城 都 有 坚 固 的 高 墙 ， 有 门 有 闩 。 此 外 还 有 许 多 无 城 墙 的 乡 村 。
