Deuteronomy 4:4

But ye that did cleave unto the Lord your God
To the worship of the Lord your God, as the Targum of Jonathan; attended the service of the sanctuary, were observant of the laws of God, and walked in his statutes and judgments; did not apostatize from him by idolatry or otherwise, but kept close unto him, and followed him fully:

are alive everyone of you this day;
which is very remarkable, that in such a vast number of people not one should die in such a space of time, it being several months since that affair happened; and besides, in that time there was a war with the Midianites, and yet not one person died in that war, nor as it seems by this account by any disease or disaster whatever; see ( Numbers 31:49 ) .

2 所 吩 咐 你 们 的 话 ， 你 们 不 可 加 添 ， 也 不 可 删 减 ， 好 叫 你 们 遵 守 我 所 吩 咐 的 ， 就 是 耶 和 华 ─ 你 们 　 神 的 命 令 。

3 耶 和 华 因 巴 力 ? 珥 的 事 所 行 的 ， 你 们 亲 眼 看 见 了 。 凡 随 从 巴 力 ? 珥 的 人 ， 耶 和 华 ─ 你 们 的 　 神 都 从 你 们 中 间 除 灭 了 。

4 惟 有 你 们 专 靠 耶 和 华 ─ 你 们 　 神 的 人 ， 今 日 全 都 存 活 。

5 我 照 着 耶 和 华 ─ 我 　 神 所 吩 咐 的 将 律 例 典 章 教 训 你 们 ， 使 你 们 在 所 要 进 去 得 为 业 的 地 上 遵 行 。

6 所 以 你 们 要 谨 守 遵 行 ； 这 就 是 你 们 在 万 民 眼 前 的 智 慧 、 聪 明 。 他 们 听 见 这 一 切 律 例 ， 必 说 ： 这 大 国 的 人 真 是 有 智 慧 ， 有 聪 明 ！
