8 他 就 将 加 利 亚 的 儿 子 约 哈 难 和 同 着 他 的 众 军 长 ， 并 众 百 姓 ， 从 最 小 的 到 至 大 的 都 叫 了 来 ，

Jeremiah 42:8

Then called he Johanan the son of Kareah
That is, Jeremiah, as soon as he had received the answer from the Lord, called to Johanan; who, after the death of Gedaliah, was a person of the greatest authority, and had the command of the people, to come unto him, and hear what it was: he either called to him vocally and by name; or he sent a proper messenger to him, to meet him at some convenient place, to receive it; and not him only, but all the captains of the forces which [were] with him, and all the
people, from the least even unto the greatest;
they were all convened together, as it was proper they should, to hear the word of the Lord; and the rather, since they all joined in a request to the prophet, ( Jeremiah 42:1 ) .

6 我 们 现 在 请 你 到 耶 和 华 ─ 我 们 的 　 神 面 前 ， 他 说 的 无 论 是 好 是 歹 ， 我 们 都 必 听 从 ； 我 们 听 从 耶 和 华 ─ 我 们 　 神 的 话 ， 就 可 以 得 福 。

7 过 了 十 天 ， 耶 和 华 的 话 临 到 耶 利 米 。

8 他 就 将 加 利 亚 的 儿 子 约 哈 难 和 同 着 他 的 众 军 长 ， 并 众 百 姓 ， 从 最 小 的 到 至 大 的 都 叫 了 来 ，

9 对 他 们 说 ： 耶 和 华 ─ 以 色 列 的 　 神 ， 就 是 你 们 请 我 在 他 面 前 为 你 们 祈 求 的 主 ， 如 此 说 ：

10 你 们 若 仍 住 在 这 地 ， 我 就 建 立 你 们 ， 必 不 拆 毁 ， 栽 植 你 们 ， 并 不 拔 出 ， 因 我 为 降 与 你 们 的 灾 祸 後 悔 了 。
