1 Kings 15:15

And he brought in the things which his father had dedicated,
&c.] The spoils he had taken in war from Jeroboam, and which he had devoted to religious uses, but lived not to perform his vows, which his son now did for him; so that it seems, notwithstanding the sins he fell into, he had some regard to God and his worship, see ( 2 Chronicles 13:19 )

and the things which himself had dedicated;
out of the spoils taken from the Ethiopians, ( 2 Chronicles 14:13 2 Chronicles 14:14 ) , these he brought into the house of the Lord, silver, and gold, and vessels; of various sorts.

13 Und auch Maaka, seine Mutter, die setzte er ab, daß sie nicht mehr Königin wäre, weil sie der Aschera ein Götzenbild gemacht hatte; und Asa rottete ihr Götzenbild aus und verbrannte es im Tale Kidron.
14 Die Höhen aber wichen nicht; doch das Herz Asas war ungeteilt mit Jehova alle seine Tage.
15 Und er brachte die geheiligten Dinge seines Vaters und seine geheiligten Dinge in das Haus Jehovas: Silber und Gold und Geräte.
16 Und es war Krieg zwischen Asa und Baesa, dem König von Israel, alle ihre Tage.
17 Und Baesa, der König von Israel, zog wider Juda herauf; und er baute Rama, um Asa, dem König von Juda, niemand aus-und eingehen zu lassen.
