John 17:15-19

15 I ¹do not ask that you ²take them out of the world, but that you ³keep them from ⁴the evil one.^[a]

16 ⁵They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.

17 ⁶Sanctify them^[b] in the truth; ⁷your word is truth.

18 ⁸As you sent me into the world, so I have sent them into the world.

19 And ⁹for their sake ¹⁰I consecrate myself,^[c] that they also ¹¹may be sanctified^[d] in truth.
