Salma the father of Bethlehem
Or prince of Bethlehem, as the Targum; not the same as in ( 1 Chronicles 2:11 ) he was the son of Nahshon, this of the younger Caleb:

Hareph, the father of Bethgader;
prince of a place of that name called Gedor, ( 1 Chronicles 4:4 ) , and where this man's name is Penuel; Gedor was in the tribe of Judah, ( Joshua 15:58 ) .

49 Ella partorì eziandio Saaf, padre di Madman; e Seva, padre di Macbena, e padre di Ghiba; e la figliuola di Caleb fu Acsa.

50 Questi furono i figliuoli di Caleb, figliuolo di Hur, primogenito di Efrat, cioè: Sobal, padre di Chiriat-iearim;

51 Salma, padre di Bet-lehem; Haref, padre di Bet-gader.

52 E Sobal, padre di Chiriat-iearim, ebbe de’ figliuoli, cioè, Roe, padre della metà di Menuhot.

53 E le famiglie di Chiriat-iearim furono gl’Ittei, e i Putei, e i Sumatei, e i Misraei; di questi sono usciti i Soreatei e gli Estaolei.
