2 E tutte queste benedizioni verranno sopra te e ti giugneranno; perciocchè tu avrai ubbidito alla voce del Signore Iddio tuo.

Deuteronomy 28:2

And all these blessings shall come on thee and overtake thee,
&c.] After mentioned, which should come upon them from God from heaven, by the direction of his providence, and that freely and plentifully, and beyond their expectations and deserts, and continue with them: if thou shall hearken to the voice of the Lord thy God;
obedience to the law being the condition of their coming and continuance; for only temporal blessings in the land of Canaan are here intended, as follow.

1 ORA egli avverrà, se pur tu ubbidisci alla voce del Signore Iddio tuo, per osservar di mettere in opera tutti i suoi comandamenti, i quali oggi ti do, che il Signore ti farà eccelso sopra tutte le nazioni della terra.

2 E tutte queste benedizioni verranno sopra te e ti giugneranno; perciocchè tu avrai ubbidito alla voce del Signore Iddio tuo.

3 Tu sarai benedetto nella città; tu sarai ancora benedetto ne’ campi.

4 Il frutto del tuo seno sarà benedetto, e il frutto della tua terra, e il frutto del tuo bestiame; i parti delle tue vacche e le gregge delle tue pecore.

5 Il tuo paniere sarà benedetto, e la tua madia.
