Ecclesiastes 3:20

All go unto one place
The earth ^F23 from whence they came; all are of the dust, and all turn to dust again;
Adam's body was made of the dust of the earth, and so all his posterity, all of them; in which they agree with beasts, who are made of the dust also; and, when they die, return to it; see ( Genesis 2:7 ) ( 3:19 ) ( Psalms 104:29 ) .

18 Io ho detto nel mio cuore, intorno alla condizione de’ figliuoli degli uomini, ch’egli sarebbe da desiderare che Iddio li chiarisse, e ch’essi vedessero che da loro stessi non sono altro che bestie.

19 Perciocchè ciò che avviene a’ figliuoli degli uomini è ciò che avviene alle bestie; vi è un medesimo avvenimento per essi tutti; come muore l’uno, così muore l’altro, e tutti hanno un medesimo fiato; e l’uomo non ha vantaggio alcuno sopra le bestie; perciocchè tutti son vanità.

21 Chi sa che lo spirito de’ figliuoli degli uomini salga in alto, e quel delle bestie scenda a basso sotterra?

22 Io ho dunque veduto che non vi è altro bene, se non che l’uomo si rallegri nelle sue opere; conciossiachè questa sia la sua parte; perciocchè chi lo rimenerà, per veder quello che sarà dopo lui?
