John 6:18

And the sea arose
Swelled, and was tumultuous and raging; the waves mounted up, and tossed the ship to and fro:

by reason of a great wind that blew;
which agitated the waters of the sea, and lifted up the waves; which storm seems to have arose after they had set sail, and were got into the midst of the sea.

16 E QUANDO fu sera, i suoi discepoli discesero verso il mare.
17 E montati nella navicella, traevano all’altra riva del mare, verso Capernaum; e già era scuro, e Gesù non era venuto a loro.
18 E perchè soffiava un gran vento, il mare era commosso.
19 Ora, quando ebbero vogato intorno a venticinque o trenta stadi, videro Gesù che camminava in sul mare, e si accostava alla navicella, ed ebbero paura.
20 Ma egli disse loro: Son io, non temiate.
