18 Ed ecco certi uomini, che portavano sopra un letto un uomo paralitico, e cercavano di portarlo dentro, e di metterlo davanti a lui.

Luke 5:18

And behold, men brought in a bed a man which was taken with
a palsy
Four men brought him, as Mark says, ( Mark 2:3 ) and which the Ethiopic version expresses here: "and they sought means to bring him in": into the house where Jesus was:

and to lay him before him;
at his feet, in hope of moving his compassion, and to obtain a cure of him: of the nature of this disease, and of the sort which this man's seems to be, (See Gill on Mark 2:3).

16 Ma egli si sottraeva ne’ deserti, ed orava.
17 ED avvenne un di que’ giorni, ch’egli insegnava; e quivi sedevano de’ Farisei, e de’ dottori della legge, i quali eran venuti di tutte le castella della Galilea, e della Giudea, e di Gerusalemme; e la virtù del Signore era quivi presente, per sanarli.
18 Ed ecco certi uomini, che portavano sopra un letto un uomo paralitico, e cercavano di portarlo dentro, e di metterlo davanti a lui.
19 E non trovando onde lo potessero metter dentro, per la moltitudine, salirono sopra il tetto della casa, e lo calaron pe’ tegoli, insieme col letticello, ivi in mezzo, davanti a Gesù.
20 Ed egli, veduta la lor fede, disse a colui: Uomo, i tuoi peccati ti son rimessi.
