1 Samuel 10:15

15 Saul's uncle said, "Please tell me what Samuel said to you."

1 Samuel 10:15 Meaning and Commentary

1 Samuel 10:15

And Saul's uncle said
l On hearing he had been with Samuel, and perceiving so great an alteration in Saul, perhaps he began to suspect something about the kingdom; it being what everyone was talking of, and expecting every day to hear from Samuel who should be king, according to the Lord's appointment:

tell me, I pray thee, what Samuel said unto you;
the earnestness with which he put this question seems to confirm the above conjecture.

1 Samuel 10:15 In-Context

15 Saul's uncle said, "Please tell me what Samuel said to you."
16 "He assured us the donkeys had been found," Saul answered his uncle. But Saul didn't tell him what Samuel said [about his becoming king].
17 Samuel called the people to [come into the presence of] the LORD at Mizpah.
