Ezekiel 32:28 Meaning and Commentary

Ezekiel 32:28

Yea, thou shalt be broken in the midst of the uncircumcised,
&c.] Kimchi, and so others, think this is said to Pharaoh king of Egypt; but rather it respects the prince of the Scythians, who should fall into the hands of Heathens, and be destroyed by them: and shalt lie with them that are slain with the sword;
be buried with them, or in like manner as they are; and not as mighty warriors, who die a natural death in their own country, and are buried in a stately and magnificent manner; but like those that fall by the sword of the enemy, and are thrown into one common pit.

27 They shall not lie with the mighty who are fallen of the uncircumcised, who are gone down to She'ol with their weapons of war, and have laid their swords under their heads, and their iniquities are on their bones; for [they were] the terror of the mighty in the land of the living.
28 But you shall be broken in the midst of the uncircumcised, and shall lie with those who are slain by the sword.
29 There is Edom, her kings and all her princes, who in their might are laid with those who are slain by the sword: they shall lie with the uncircumcised, and with those who go down to the pit.
30 There are the princes of the north, all of them, and all the Tzidonim, who are gone down with the slain; in the terror which they caused by their might they are put to shame; and they lie uncircumcised with those who are slain by the sword, and bear their shame with those who go down to the pit.
