Today, Pastor Jack teaches that, unlike the Pharisee, the tax collector exhibits precisely what Jesus spoke about. We’re to come to God, recognizing our sinful condition, humbling ourselves before Him, so He can show us His boundless love, and forgiveness through Christ.

This is the 5th message in Pete's 5-message series, "The Steeplechase," about overcoming the hurdles that cause us to stumble, and this one is centered on spiritual pride.

Today, Pastor Jack teaches that the Pharisee and the tax collector both came to the temple to pray, but it was the tax collector who God listened to. The sinner’s desire for mercy captured God’s heart, and He answered his prayer.

Jesus stated that he had come to seek and save lost people and to call sinners to repentance. These statements produced both warm response and bitter reaction - and they still do.

Today, Pastor Jack tells us that to live between Heaven & Hell is to realize that each of us has to choose a side. What we want in life reveals just who the Lord is in our lives.
