"TellAaron and his sons to be careful with the holy gifts of the sons of Israel, which they dedicate to Me, so as not to profane My holyname; I am the LORD.

"Say to them, 'If anymanamongall your descendants throughout your generationsapproaches the holy gifts which the sons of Israeldedicate to the LORD, while he has an uncleanness, that person shall be cutoff from before* Me; I am the LORD.

'No*man of the descendants of Aaron, who is a leperor who has a discharge, may eat of the holy gifts until* he is clean. And if one touchesanything made unclean by a corpseor if a manhas a seminal*emission,

'They shall therefore keep My charge, so that they will not bearsinbecause of it and die thereby because they profane it; I am the LORD who sanctifies them.

'But if a priest'sdaughterbecomes a widow or divorced, and hasnochild and returns to her father'shouse as in her youth, she shall eat of her father'sfood; but no*layman shall eat of it.

"Speak to Aaron and to his sons and to all the sons of Israel and say to them, 'Anyman of the house of Israel or of the aliens in Israelwhopresents his offering, whether it is any of their votive or any of their freewillofferings, which they present to the LORD for a burntoffering -

'When a manoffers a sacrifice of peaceofferings to the LORD to fulfill a specialvowor for a freewilloffering, of the herdor of the flock, it must be perfect to be accepted; there shall be no*defect in it.

'Those that are blindorfracturedormaimedor having a runningsoreoreczemaorscabs, you shall not offer to the LORD, normake of them an offering by fire on the altar to the LORD.

'In respect to an ox or a lamb which has an overgrown or stunted member, you may present it for a freewilloffering, but for a vow it will not be accepted.

nor shall you acceptany*such from the hand of a foreigner* for offering as the food of your God; for their corruption is in them, they have a defect, they shall not be accepted for you.' "

"When an oxor a sheepor a goat is born, it shall remainsevendays with its mother, and from the eighthday on it shall be accepted as a sacrifice of an offering by fire to the LORD.
