17 El SEÑOR, pues, ¡ha hecho como habló por mi mano! Pues ha cortado el SEÑOR el reino de tu mano, y lo ha dado a tu compañero David

1 Samuel 28:17

And the Lord hath done to him
To David, Saul's enemy, as he insinuated he was:

as he spake by me;
pretending to be the true Samuel, and wearing the guise of him, he speaks his very words, which he was well acquainted with, and could deliver exactly as he did:

for the Lord hath rent the kingdom out of thine hand, and given it to
thy neighbour;
which words are expressed by Samuel, ( 1 Samuel 15:28 ) ;

[even] unto David;
which is added by the apparition, by way of explanation, interpreting the words of David; which he might safely venture to do, seeing such a train of circumstances had occurred since the delivery of these words, which plainly made it appear he was intended.

15 Y Samuel dijo a Saúl: ¿Por qué me has inquietado haciéndome venir? Y Saúl respondió: Estoy muy acongojado; pues los filisteos pelean contra mí, y Dios se ha apartado de mí, y no me responde más, ni por mano de profetas, ni por sueños; por esto te he llamado, para que me declares qué debo hacer

16 Entonces Samuel dijo: ¿Y para qué me preguntas a mí, habiéndose apartado de ti el SEÑOR, y es tu enemigo

17 El SEÑOR, pues, ¡ha hecho como habló por mi mano! Pues ha cortado el SEÑOR el reino de tu mano, y lo ha dado a tu compañero David

18 Como tú no escuchaste la voz del SEÑOR, ni cumpliste el furor de su ira sobre Amalec, por eso el SEÑOR te ha hecho esto hoy

19 Y el SEÑOR entregará a Israel también contigo en manos de los filisteos; y mañana estaréis conmigo, tú y tus hijos; y aun el campamento de Israel entregará el SEÑOR en manos de los filisteos
