1 Samuel 30:14

We made an invasion [upon] the south of the Cherethites
The Philistines so called, or at least one nation of them, such that dwelt to the south of the land, ( 1 Samuel 30:16 ) ; (See Gill on Zephaniah 2:5);

and upon [the coast] which [belongeth] to Judah;
the south of Judah, where David pretended he had been, and had spoiled, and which was now actually done by the Amalekites, ( 1 Samuel 27:10 ) ;

and upon the south of Caleb;
that part of the tribe of Judah which belonged to Caleb the son of Jephunneh, and his posterity, and which was the southern part of it, ( Joshua 15:19 ) ;

and we burnt Ziklag with fire;
and then departed.

12 y le dieron también un pedazo de masa de higos secos, y dos hilos de pasas. Y luego que comió, volvió en él su espíritu; porque no había comido pan ni bebido agua en tres días y tres noches

13 Y le dijo David: ¿De quién eres tú? ¿Y de dónde eres? Y respondió el joven egipcio: Yo soy siervo de un amalecita, y me dejó mi amo hoy hace tres días, porque estaba enfermo

15 Y le dijo David: ¿Me llevarás tú a aquella compañía? Y él dijo: Hazme juramento por Dios que no me matarás, ni me entregarás en las manos de mi amo, y yo te llevaré a aquella compañía

16 Y así lo llevó; y he aquí que estaban desparramados sobre la faz de toda la tierra, comiendo y bebiendo y haciendo fiesta, por toda aquella gran presa que habían tomado de la tierra de los filisteos, y de la tierra de Judá
