2 Chronicles 24:21

And they conspired against him
Consulted together to take away his life, and got the order of the king to do it:

and stoned him with stones at the commandment of the king in the court
of the house of the Lord;
where he had stood and reproved them; this they did before he went out, while in the temple; and if he is the same Zechariah, as some think, our Lord speaks of, he was slain between the temple porch and the altar, ( Matthew 23:35 ) , (See Gill on Matthew 23:35).

19 Y les envió profetas, para que los hicieran volver al SEÑOR, los cuales les protestaron; mas ellos no los escucharon

20 Y el espíritu de Dios se envistió en Zacarías, hijo de Joiada el sacerdote, el cual estando sobre el pueblo, les dijo: Así ha dicho Dios: ¿Por qué quebrantáis los mandamientos del SEÑOR? No os vendrá bien por ello; porque por haber dejado al SEÑOR, él también os dejará

22 No tuvo, pues, memoria el rey Joás de la misericordia que su padre Joiada había hecho con él, antes le mató su hijo; el cual dijo al morir: El SEÑOR lo vea, y lo requiera

23 A la vuelta del año subió contra él el ejército de Siria; y vinieron a Judá y a Jerusalén, y destruyeron en el pueblo a todos los príncipes de él, y enviaron todos sus despojos al rey a Damasco
