2 Chronicles 29:23

And they brought forth the he goats for the sin offering
before the king and the congregation
Which were to make atonement for the sins of both: and they laid their hands on them;
signifying thereby that they were vicarious sacrifices to be offered up in their own room and stead, and that they deserved to die, as these creatures would: transferring as it were hereby their sins unto them, for which they were to be sacrificed, and to make atonement, as an emblem of the imputation of the sins of the Lord's people to Christ, sacrificed in their stead.

21 Y ofrecieron siete novillos, siete carneros, siete corderos, y siete machos cabríos, por el pecado del reino, del santuario y de Judá. Y dijo a los sacerdotes hijos de Aarón, que los ofrecieran sobre el altar del SEÑOR

22 Y mataron los bueyes; y los sacerdotes tomaron la sangre, y la esparcieron sobre el altar; y asimismo mataron los carneros, y esparcieron la sangre sobre el altar; y mataron los corderos, y esparcieron la sangre sobre el altar

23 E hicieron llegar los machos cabríos del pecado delante del rey y de la multitud, y pusieron sobre ellos sus manos

24 y los sacerdotes los mataron, y removieron el pecado con la sangre de ellos sobre el altar, para reconciliar a todo Israel; porque por todo Israel mandó el rey ofrecer el holocausto y la expiación del pecado

25 Puso también levitas en la Casa del SEÑOR con címbalos, y salterios, y arpas, conforme al mandamiento de David, y de Gad vidente del rey, y de Natán, el profeta; porque aquel mandamiento fue por mano del SEÑOR, por mano de sus profetas
