And the people got them by stealth that day into the city
Did not march into it in companies, in a public and triumphant manner, as conquerors used to do; but entered in a private manner, one by one, or a very few together, not caring to be seen or known, at least by the king, as fearing they had incurred his displeasure: but

as people being ashamed steal away when they flee in battle;
as if they had been conquered, and not conquerors; nay, had acted a cowardly part, and ran away; and so cared not to be seen, lest they should be reproached, or suffer for their cowardice.

2 Y se volvi贸 aquel d铆a la salvaci贸n en luto para todo el pueblo; porque oy贸 decir el pueblo aquel d铆a que el rey ten铆a dolor por su hijo
3 Entr贸 el pueblo aquel d铆a en la ciudad escondidamente, como suele entrar a escondidas el pueblo avergonzado que ha huido de la batalla
4 Mas el rey, cubierto el rostro, clamaba en alta voz: 隆Hijo m铆o Absal贸n, Absal贸n, hijo m铆o, hijo m铆o
5 Y entrando Joab en casa del rey, le dijo: Hoy has avergonzado el rostro de todos tus siervos, que han hoy librado tu vida, y la vida de tus hijos y de tus hijas, y la vida de tus mujeres, y la vida de tus concubinas
