Daniel 4:10

Thus were the visions of mine head in my bed
So things appeared to my fancy thus; they ran in my head or brain in a dream in my bed, as if I saw them with my eyes, as follows; for so I thought, I saw, and behold a tree in the midst of the earth;
an emblem of a powerful prince well settled, and strongly supported in his power and government; so the Assyrian monarch, ( Ezekiel 31:3-9 ) and here Nebuchadnezzar himself, as it is afterwards explained; who was well established in his monarchy, the metropolis of which was Babylon; and which stood pretty much in the midst of the then known world: and the height thereof was great;
taller than trees in common; denoting the superiority of the Babylonian monarch over all kings and kingdoms of the earth.

8 hasta tanto que entró delante de mí Daniel, cuyo nombre es Beltasar, que cuando lo nombro me parece que nombro a mi dios, y en el cual hay espíritu del santo Dios, y dije el sueño delante de él, diciendo

9 Beltasar, príncipe de los sabios, ya que he entendido que hay en ti espíritu del santo Dios, y que ningún misterio se te esconde, dime las visiones de mi sueño que he visto, y su declaración

10 Las visiones de mi cabeza en mi cama eran: Me parecía que veía un árbol en medio de la tierra, cuya altura era grande

11 Crecía este árbol, y se hacía fuerte, y su altura llegaba hasta el cielo, y su vista hasta el cabo de toda la tierra

12 Su copa era hermosa, y su fruto en abundancia, y para todos había en él mantenimiento. Debajo de él se ponían a la sombra las bestias del campo, y en sus ramas hacían morada las aves del cielo, y toda carne se mantenía de él
