Jeremiah 4:8

For this gird you with sackcloth, lament and howl
That is, because of this destruction threatened, which was so near at hand, and so sure and certain: for the fierce anger of the Lord is not turned back from us.
The Septuagint, Syriac, and Arabic versions, render it "from you" and some render it "from it" ^F21; from his purpose and design to destroy the Jews. Jarchi interprets this of Josiah, and his times, who, though he turned to the Lord with all his heart, yet the Lord turned not from the fierceness of his wrath and anger against Judah, ( 2 Kings 23:25 2 Kings 23:26 ) .

6 Alzad bandera en Sion, juntaos, no os detengáis; porque yo hago venir mal del aquilón, y quebrantamiento grande

7 El león sube de su guarida, y el destruidor de gentiles ha partido; salió de su asiento para poner tu tierra en soledad; tus ciudades serán asoladas sin morador

9 Y será en aquel día, dice el SEÑOR, que desfallecerá el corazón del rey, y el corazón de los príncipes, y los sacerdotes estarán atónitos, y se maravillarán los profetas

10 (Y dije: ¡Ay, ay, el SEÑOR Dios! Verdaderamente en gran manera has engañado a este pueblo y a Jerusalén, diciendo: Paz tendréis; pues que la espada ha venido hasta el alma.
