Joshua 12:3

And from the plain
Or rather, "and the plain", the plains of Moab, which, before possessed by the Israelites, belonged to the kingdom of Sihon; and the plains of Jordan, which reached

to the sea of Cinneroth on the east;
the same with the lake of Gennesaret, and sea of Tiberias, mentioned in the New Testament, ( Matthew 14:34 ) ( Mark 6:53 ) ( Luke 5:1 ) ( John 6:1 ) ( 21:1 ) :

and unto the sea of the plain;
where stood the cities of the plain, Sodom, Gomorrah

[even] the salt sea on the east;
the same with the dead sea, into which the plain the above cities stood on was converted:

the way to Bethjeshimoth;
which was a place in the plains of Moab, ( Numbers 33:49 ) ;

and from the south under Ashdothpisgah;
or the springs of Pisgah, which flowed from the mount of that name, ( Deuteronomy 3:17 ) ( 4:49 ) .

1 Estos son los reyes de la tierra que los hijos de Israel hirieron, y cuya tierra poseyeron al otro lado del Jordán al nacimiento del sol, desde el arroyo de Arnón hasta el monte de Hermón, y toda la llanura oriental

2 Sehón rey de los amorreos, que habitaba en Hesbón, y señoreaba desde Aroer, que está a la ribera del arroyo de Arnón, y desde en medio del arroyo, y la mitad de Galaad, hasta el arroyo Jaboc, el término de los hijos de Amón

3 y desde la campiña hasta el mar de Cineret, al oriente; y hasta el mar de la llanura, el mar Salado, al oriente, por el camino de Bet-jesimot; y desde el mediodía debajo de las vertientes del Pisga

4 Y los términos de Og rey de Basán, que había quedado de los refaítas, el cual habitaba en Astarot y en Edrei

5 y señoreaba en el monte de Hermón, y en Salca, y en todo Basán hasta los términos de Gesur y de Maaca, y la mitad de Galaad, término de Sehón rey de Hesbón
