9 Y clamaron los hijos de Israel al SEÑOR; y el SEÑOR despertó un salvador a los hijos de Israel y los libró; es a saber, a Otoniel hijo de Cenaz, hermano menor de Caleb

Judges 3:9

And when the children of Israel cried unto the Lord
Towards the close of the eight years' bondage, as it may be supposed, groaning under the oppressive taxes laid upon them, and the bondage they were brought into: and

the Lord raised up a deliverer to the children of Israel;
he heard their cry, and sent them a saviour, whose spirit he stirred up, and whom he qualified for this service:

who delivered them;
out of the hands of the king of Mesopotamia, and freed them from his oppressions:

[even] Othniel, the son of Kenaz, Caleb's younger brother;
the same that took Debir, and married Achsah, the daughter of Caleb, ( Judges 1:12 Judges 1:13 ) ; who now very probably was a man in years.

7 Hicieron, pues, los hijos de Israel lo malo ante los ojos del SEÑOR; y olvidados del SEÑOR su Dios, sirvieron a los baales, y a los bosques

8 Y la saña del SEÑOR se encendió contra Israel, y los vendió en manos de Cusan-risataim rey de Mesopotamia; y sirvieron los hijos de Israel a Cusan-risataim ocho años

9 Y clamaron los hijos de Israel al SEÑOR; y el SEÑOR despertó un salvador a los hijos de Israel y los libró; es a saber, a Otoniel hijo de Cenaz, hermano menor de Caleb

10 Y el Espíritu del SEÑOR vino sobre él, y juzgó a Israel, y salió a la batalla, y el SEÑOR entregó en su mano a Cusan-risataim, rey de Siria, y prevaleció su mano contra Cusan-risataim

11 Y reposó la tierra cuarenta años; y murió Otoniel, hijo de Cenaz
