Judges 8:8

And he went up thence to Penuel
A place not far from Succoth, and to which also Jacob gave name, from the Lord's appearing to him there face to face, ( Genesis 32:30 ) but here was nothing of God in this place now:

and spoke unto them likewise;
desired bread for his men, as he had of the inhabitants of Succoth:

and the men of Penuel answered him as the men of Succoth had answered
him;
denied him his request in the same jeering manner.

6 Y los principales de Sucot respondieron: ¿Está ya la mano de Zeba y Zalmuna en tu mano, para que demos pan a tu ejército

7 Y Gedeón dijo: Pues cuando el SEÑOR hubiere entregado en mi mano a Zeba y a Zalmuna, yo trillaré vuestra carne con espinas y abrojos del desierto

9 Y él habló también a los de Peniel, diciendo: Cuando yo vuelva en paz, derribaré esta torre

10 Y Zeba y Zalmuna estaban en Carcor, y con ellos su ejército como de quince mil hombres, todos los que habían quedado de todo el ejército de los hijos del oriente; y los muertos habían sido ciento veinte mil hombres que sacaban espada
