And when Paul had laid his handsuponthem, the HolyGhostcameonthem;and they spake with tongues, andprophesied.
8
And he wentinto the synagogue, and spake boldly for the space of threemonths, disputingandpersuading the things concerning the kingdom of God.
9
Butwhendivers were hardened, and believed not, but spake evil of that waybefore the multitude, he departedfromthem, and separated the disciples, disputingdaily*in the school of oneTyrannus.
10
Andthiscontinued by the space of twoyears;so that all they which dwelt inAsiaheard the word of the LordJesus, bothJewsandGreeks.

12
Sothatfromhisbody were broughtunto the sickhandkerchiefsoraprons, and the diseasesdepartedfromthem, and the evilspiritswent out ofthem.

Thencertainof the vagabondJews, exorcists, took upon them to callover them which hadevilspirits the name of the LordJesus, saying, We adjureyou by JesuswhomPaulpreacheth.
14
And there weresevensons of one Sceva*, a Jew, and chief of the priests, which didso.

And the evilspiritanswered and said, Jesus I know, andPaul I know; butwhoareye?
16
And the maninwhom the evilspiritwasleapedonthem, andovercamethem, and prevailedagainstthem,so that they fled out ofthathousenakedandwounded.
17
Andthiswasknown to all the JewsandGreeksalsodwelling at Ephesus;andfearfellonthemall, and the name of the LordJesus was magnified.
18
Andmany that believedcame, and confessed, andshewedtheirdeeds.
19
Many of them also which used curious artsbrought their bookstogether, and burned thembeforeall men: and they counted the price of them, andfound it fiftythousand pieces of silver.
21
Afterthesethings were ended, Paulpurposedin the spirit, when he had passed throughMacedoniaandAchaia, to gotoJerusalem, saying, After*I have beenthere,ImustalsoseeRome.
22
So he sentintoMacedoniatwo of them that ministered unto him,TimotheusandErastus; but he himselfstayedinAsia for a season.

Andthesametime there arosenosmallstirabout that way.

28
And when they heard these sayings, they werefull of wrath, and cried out, saying, Great is Diana of the Ephesians.
