And it came to pass, asPeter passed throughout*all quarters, he came downalsoto the saintswhichdwelt at Lydda.

Andthere he found a certainmannamedAeneas, which had kept* his bed*eightyears,andwas sick of the palsy.

AndPetersaid unto him,Aeneas,JesusChristmakeththeewhole: arise, andmakethybed. And he aroseimmediately.

Andall that dwelt at LyddaandSaronsawhim,andturnedto the Lord.

Now there wasatJoppa a certaindisciplenamedTabitha,which by interpretation is calledDorcas:[a] this woman*wasfull of goodworksandalmsdeedswhich she did.

And it came to passinthosedays, that she was sick, and died: whom whenthey had washed*, they laid her in an upper chamber.

And forasmuch asLydda was nigh to Joppa, and the disciples had heardthatPeterwasthere*, they sentuntohimtwomen,desiring him that he wouldnotdelay[b] to cometothem.

ThenPeterarose and went withthem. When he was come, they brought himinto the upper chamber:andall the widows stood byhimweeping, andshewing the coatsandgarmentswhichDorcasmade, while she waswiththem.

ButPeterput them allforth, and kneeled down*, and prayed; andturning him to the bodysaid, Tabitha,arise. And she openedhereyes:and when she sawPeter, she sat up.

And he gaveher his hand, and liftedherup, and when he had called the saintsandwidows,presentedheralive.

And it wasknownthroughoutallJoppa;andmanybelievedin the Lord.

And it came to pass, that hetarriedmanydaysinJoppawithoneSimon a tanner.
God wants to minister to our immediate needs to encourage us towards the ultimate healing of salvation. God’s miracle of salvation cost Him the greatest price, produces the greatest results of eternal life in Heaven. And, it brings the greatest glory...
