Listen to Psalm 69:24
24 Pour out thine indignation upon them, and let thy wrathful anger take hold of them.

Psalm 69:24 Meaning and Commentary

Psalms 69:24

Pour out thine indignation upon them
Not a few drops of it only, but a flood of it, sweeping away and bearing down all before it; which was done when wrath came upon them to the uttermost, in the destruction of their city, temple, and nation, ( 1 Thessalonians 2:16 ) ;

let thy wrathful anger take hold of them;
follow after them, overtake them, seize upon them, and hold them fast, that they may not escape. It denotes the severity of God towards them; the fierceness and fury of his wrath upon them; and that their destruction would be inevitable, and an entire and utter one.

23 Let their eyes be darkened , that they see not; and make their loins continually to shake .
24 Pour out thine indignation upon them, and let thy wrathful anger take hold of them.
25 Let their habitation be desolate ; and let none dwell in their tents.
26 For they persecute him whom thou hast smitten ; and they talk to the grief of those whom thou hast wounded.
