And Mattithiah, and Elipheleh, and Mikneiah, and Obededom,
and Jeiel, and Azaziah
These six were appointed to sound:

with harps on the Sheminith to excel;
which Sheminith some take to be an harp with eight strings, or the beginning of a song, or a musical tone, the bass; see the title of ( Psalms 6:1 ) .

19 Denn Heman, Asaph und Ethan waren Sänger mit ehernen Zimbeln, hell zu klingen;
20 Sacharja aber, Asiel, Semiramoth, Jehiel, Unni, Eliab, Maaseja und Benaja mit Psaltern, nachzusingen;
21 Matthithja aber, Eliphelehu, Mikneja, Obed-Edom, Jeiel und Asasja mit Harfen von acht Saiten, vorzusingen;
22 Chenanja aber, der Leviten Oberster, der Sangmeister, daß er sie unterwiese zu singen; denn er war verständig.
23 Und Berechja und Elkana waren Torhüter der Lade.
