Ezekiel 34:22

22 I'll come in and save my dear flock, no longer let them be pushed around. I'll step in and set things right between one sheep and another.

Ezekiel 34:22 Meaning and Commentary

Ezekiel 34:22

Therefore will I save my flock
Or redeem my people, as the Targum; that is, by his son, after described, as his shepherd and servant: and they shall no more be a prey:
to Satan the roaring lion; nor to such horned cattle, their persecutors; nor to false teachers, who lie in wait to deceive; nor shall they ever perish, being the sheep of Christ, hand, and under the care of him the shepherd, spoken of in the next verse: and I will judge between cattle and cattle;
between man and man, as the Targum; that is, between good and bad men, the persecutors and the persecuted. (See Gill on Ezekiel 34:17). (See Gill on Ezekiel 34:20).

Ezekiel 34:22 In-Context

20 "'Therefore, God, the Master, says: I myself am stepping in and making things right between the plump sheep and the skinny sheep.
21 Because you forced your way with shoulder and rump and butted at all the weaker animals with your horns till you scattered them all over the hills,
22 I'll come in and save my dear flock, no longer let them be pushed around. I'll step in and set things right between one sheep and another.
23 "'I'll appoint one shepherd over them all: my servant David. He'll feed them. He'll be their shepherd.
24 And I, God, will be their God. My servant David will be their prince. I, God, have spoken.
