24 Then he took me to the south side, to the south gate complex. He measured its gateposts and its porch. It was the same size as the others.

Ezekiel 40:24 Meaning and Commentary

Ezekiel 40:24

After that he brought me toward the south
Having taken the dimensions of the east and north gates, the prophet was had on the south side of the building: and behold a gate toward the south;
that led to the southern part of this fabric, and to the outward court there, exactly like the other two; there was no difference in them, which raised the prophet's wonder and attention; for, as Lipman F11 says, there was no outward court in the second temple, but to the east of the inward; and it did not encompass the other sides; and so the more wonderful: and he measured the posts thereof, and the arches thereof, according,
to these measures;
the measures of the east and north gates, which were just alike; for these all signified but one gateway or door into the church below, into heaven above, or into the presence of God here and hereafter, which is Christ, ( John 14:6 ) ( John 10:1 John 10:7 John 10:9 ) .

Ezekiel 40:24 In-Context

22 The windows and palm trees were identical to the east gateway. Seven steps led up to it, and its porch faced inward.
23 Opposite this gate complex was a gate complex to the inside courtyard, on the north as on the east. The distance between the two was one hundred seventy-five feet.
24 Then he took me to the south side, to the south gate complex. He measured its gateposts and its porch. It was the same size as the others.
25 The porch with its windows was the same size as those previously mentioned.
26 It also had seven steps up to it. Its porch opened onto the outside courtyard, with palm trees decorating its gateposts on both sides.
