Genesis 25:11 Meaning and Commentary

Genesis 25:11

And it came to pass, after the death of Abraham, that God
blessed his son Isaac
Yet more and more, both with spiritual and temporal blessings; showing hereby, that, though Abraham was dead, he was not unmindful of his covenant, which should be established with Isaac, ( Genesis 17:19 ) ( Genesis 22:17 Genesis 22:18 ) :

and Isaac dwelt by the well Lahairoi;
which was near the wilderness of Beersheba and Paran, where Ishmael dwelt; so that they were not far from one another, see ( Genesis 16:14 ) ( Genesis 21:14 Genesis 21:21 ) .

Genesis 25:11 In-Context

9 His sons Isaac and Ishmael buried him in the cave of Machpelah in the field of Ephron east of Mamre. (Ephron was the son of Zohar the Hittite.)
10 So Abraham was buried with his wife Sarah in the same field that he had bought from the Hittites.
11 After Abraham died, God blessed his son Isaac. Isaac was now living at Beer Lahai Roi.
12 This is the family history of Ishmael, Abraham's son. (Hagar, Sarah's Egyptian servant, was Ishmael's mother.)
13 These are the names of Ishmael's sons in the order they were born: Nebaioth, the first son, then Kedar, Adbeel, Mibsam,
