1 Samuel 12:25

25 But if you continue to sin, you and your king will be swept away.”

1 Samuel 12:25 Meaning and Commentary

1 Samuel 12:25

But if ye shall still do wickedly
Continue to rebel against God, revolt from him, and depart from his worship, and despise his prophets, and serve idols:

ye shall be consumed, both ye and your king;
their king would be so far from protecting, that he should perish with them, be killed by the sword, as Saul their first king was, or go into captivity, as others of their kings did.

1 Samuel 12:25 In-Context

23 “As for me, I will certainly not sin against the LORD by ending my prayers for you. And I will continue to teach you what is good and right.
24 But be sure to fear the LORD and faithfully serve him. Think of all the wonderful things he has done for you.
25 But if you continue to sin, you and your king will be swept away.”
