28 Los caballos de Salomón se importaban de Egipto
y de Cilicia;
los mercaderes del rey los adquirían en Cilicia a precio de mercado.

1 Kings 10:28

And Solomon had horses brought out of Egypt
To mount his horsemen with, and draw his chariots; which seems contrary to the command in ( Deuteronomy 17:16 )

and linen yarn; the king's merchants received the linen yarn at a
price;
or rather linen itself; or linen garments, as Ben Gersom; linen being the staple commodity of Egypt, see ( Isaiah 19:9 ) , but no mention is made of yarn in ( 2 Chronicles 9:28 ) , and the word rendered "linen yarn" signifies a confluence or collection of waters and other things; and the words may be rendered, "as for the collection, the king's merchants received the collection at a price"; that is, the collection of horses, a large number of them got together for sale; these they took at a price set upon them ^F8, which is as follows.

26 Salomón acumuló gran cantidad de carros de guerra y caballos;
tenía mil cuatrocientos carros y doce mil caballos. Los colocó en las ciudades designadas para guardar los carros y también cerca de él en Jerusalén.

27 El rey hizo que en Jerusalén la plata fuera tan abundante como las piedras. Además, la valiosa madera de cedro era tan común como la higuera sicómoro que crece en las colinas de Judá.

28 Los caballos de Salomón se importaban de Egipto
y de Cilicia;
los mercaderes del rey los adquirían en Cilicia a precio de mercado.

29 En ese tiempo, un carro egipcio costaba seiscientas piezas de plata,
y los caballos se vendían a ciento cincuenta piezas de plata.
Después los exportaban a los reyes de los hititas y a los reyes de Aram.
