33 Pues Salomón se ha
apartado de mí y rindió culto a Astoret, diosa de los sidonios; a Quemos, dios de Moab; y a Moloc, dios de los amonitas. Salomón no ha seguido mis caminos ni ha hecho lo que me agrada. Tampoco ha obedecido mis decretos y ordenanzas como lo hizo su padre David.

1 Kings 11:33

Because that they have forsaken me
My worship, as the Targum; both Solomon and the children of Israel following his example; which is not to be wondered at, considering how prone they always were to idolatry:

and have worshipped Ashtoreth the goddess of the Zidonians, Chemosh the
god of the Moabites, and Milcom the god of the children of Ammon;
of which deities, (See Gill on 1 Kings 11:5) (See Gill on 1 Kings 11:7).

and have not walked in my ways, to do that which is right in mine eyes,
and to keep my statutes and my judgments, as [did] David his father;
the several laws of God relating to religious worship especially, which David was a strict observer of; and therefore Solomon, having such a pattern before him, was the more blameworthy.

31 Luego le dijo a Jeroboam: «Toma diez de estos pedazos, porque el Señor
, Dios de Israel, dice: “¡Estoy a punto de arrancar el reino de manos de Salomón y te daré a ti diez de las tribus!

32 Pero le dejaré una tribu a Salomón por amor a mi siervo David y por amor a Jerusalén, la ciudad que he escogido entre todas las tribus de Israel.

33 Pues Salomón se ha

34 »”Sin embargo, no le quitaré todo el reino a Salomón por ahora. Por amor a mi siervo David, a quien yo escogí y quien obedeció mis mandatos y decretos, mantendré a Salomón como líder el resto de sus días,

35 pero le quitaré el reino a su hijo y te daré a ti diez de las tribus.
