1 Kings 13:26

And when the prophet that brought him back from the way heard
thereof
The old prophet, that had deceived him, by telling him a lie: he said, it is the man of God, who was disobedient unto the word of the
Lord;
but not a syllable does he say of his own sin in deceiving him; though one would think his own conscience must smite him for it: therefore the Lord hath delivered him unto the lion, which hath torn
him, and slain him, according to the word of the Lord, which he spake
unto him;
and that by himself, ( 1 Kings 13:21 1 Kings 13:22 ) .

24 y el hombre de Dios siguió su camino. Mientras viajaba, le salió al paso un león y lo mató. Su cuerpo quedó tirado en el camino, y tanto el burro como el león estaban junto al cadáver.

25 Unas personas que pasaban por allí, al ver el cuerpo tirado en el camino y al león parado junto a él, fueron a dar la noticia a Betel, donde vivía el profeta anciano.

26 Cuando el profeta oyó la noticia, dijo: «Es el hombre de Dios que desobedeció el mandato del Señor
. El Señor
cumplió su palabra al hacer que el león lo atacara y lo matara».

27 Luego el profeta dijo a sus hijos: «Ensíllenme un burro». Así que ellos ensillaron un burro

28 y él salió y encontró el cuerpo tirado en el camino. El burro y el león todavía estaban parados junto al cadáver, pues el león no se había comido el cuerpo ni había atacado al burro.
